Personal Struggle meet opportunity

ANSELMÉ AUSTRALIA (formerly : ANSELMÉ INDONESIA ) was born from a turning point in my life. In 2019, after the sudden passing of my husband, I left my corporate career and start a new role as a single mother. During the challenging time, I discovered an opportunity to create leather bags, inspired by the local tanneries in my area. ANSELMÉ carries deep meaning: comes from my son’s name, Ansel, and “me”, it symbolizes our journey together with resilience, strength and determination.

Each bag is designed in Australia and brought to life by a small, family-owned atelier in Indonesia, where generations of artisans pour skill,care, and passion into every piece. By sharing these stories with honesty and

Positioned as affordable luxury, ANSELMÉ offers a perfect balance — not as inexpensive as faux leather, yet far more accessible than designer labels.     At ANSELME, we use Nappa leather, a 100% full-grain leather prized for its soft, supple feel and natural beauty. Made from the top layer of the hide, it keeps its original texture and markings, giving each bag a unique character. Carefully tanned and finished, Nappa leather is durable, elegant, and naturally hypoallergenic, making it gentle on the skin. The result is a timeless accessory that combines luxury, quality, and lasting comfort.
